I am not a writer or a reviewer. I met Johnny Lucas at the Cal Expo trotter track in Sacramento, and we hit it off. So I shared with him how I was able to quit my job and bet on sporting events full time. He talked me into writing a review for the readers of Harness post.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I stumbled across Zcode System for the first time, there weren’t many real reviews around so I thought I’d write one quickly to help any of you who are in the same position I was and besides Johnny is a cool guy.

But be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and the bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you may as well leave now. Yes, I am thrilled with the software, but don’t spend on your wad on one game, be smart and you will profit.

So just what is Zcode System anyway?

“Zcode System” is a comprehensive sports investing program that is designed to give you advice on what sports events to bet on and which ones to avoid.  It does this by analyzing a massive database comprised of 13 years’ worth of sports data and spits out its prediction based on these trends, and evidence.

Zcode gives predictions on all major U.S. sports including the NBA, MLB, NHL, and (starting in a couple of weeks) NFL.

For example, today (March 2nd, 2020) the Houston Rockets are playing the New York Knicks.  Zcode gave the Rockets a 97% chance of winning the game, but this is only a 3 1/2 star bet according to Zcode.  Not the worst, but definitely something you’ll want to think twice about.  Zcode is all about the VALUE of a bet, not just purely the odds. This mindset has allowed me to invest my bank roll only on games that are virtually guarantted winners.

It did, however, give the Under 230.5 points bet a 63% of hitting.  Now this bet is a 5-STAR RATING!  This is the highest rating that Zcode gives and means that there is immense value in this bet.

I’ve tried quite a few “sports investing systems” over the years or so and don’t get me wrong, I’ve found some winners and some stinkers.  Zcode is the first system I’ve seen that not only gives you the picks, but also tells you WHY it’s giving you these picks using straight-up statistics, not “gut feelings”.

Here’s exactly how Zcode achieves an 87 % success rate last year.

Zcode recommends that you follow the A-B-C betting technique.  That is, make a 1-unit bet.  If you lose, make a 2-unit bet.  If you lose that, make a 3-unit bet.  If you lost that, reset and start back with your “A” bet. Using this A-B-C technique, you should come ahead about 87% of the time with each A-B-C series you play using Zcode.  Pretty good odds, but it is a little misleading, and that’s why I wanted to clear the air now.

What are the BAD things about Zcode System?

“What?  He’s gonna give us bad points, too?!”  Heh, yeah, actually.  I promised that Johny this would be an honest, no BS review, and I plan to stick by that.

–      There is a LOT of information.  So much so, that it can be overwhelming at times.  Analyzing pitcher ratings, Power Rankings, Win/Loss streaks, and all that jazz.  Beginner sports investors can be turned off by all this information.  You can easily have 20-30 recommended bets going, especially during peak betting seasons.

–      The investment is $198/month, it’s the most expensive sports investing system I’ve come across so far (well, not including those “expert picks” websites), but this is the system that allowed me to quit my lousy job, so I am a believer!

UPDATE:  It’s not doom and gloom, though.  Quite frequently, the Zcode guys will have a 75%-off sale, meaning you can get the whole system for $50/month.  This makes it quite easy to build a great bankroll even if you’re starting out with a $1 betting unit size.  The only catch is that you have to be on the mailing list to get the e-mail.

And are there any GOOD things about Zcode System?

Oh man, this is what I prepared you guys for earlier.  This thing has grown HUGE.

–     BY FAR the best thing about Zcode has to be the new done-for-you systems.  These are proven trend lines that take all the guesswork out of betting.  They are so freakin’ simple a child could make money (which I don’t recommend because of underage gambling laws and everything).  These lines stretch back for years and show you each and every bet made during that time period.  Some of these lines have made over $1 million since their inception.  If you’re looking to make some serious cash with sports investing, this is, hands down the best place to start.  I was making good money before, but Holy Crap this has taken my cahsflow it to the next level.

–      Live betting.  That’s right, Zcode now gives you LIVE bets that you can

make while the game is currently going on!  This has been a gamechanger.  Currently, the Live Bot covers hockey, basketball, and soccer games going on around the world, 24/7.  Take a look at the latest bets in the pic to the left.  You can see one has already hit, and two more are in the works.  The live bot is sitting at between an 80 and 90% success rate depending on the day.  This is beyond exciting for members like me.

–      The forum.  Zcode not only gives you the machine recommendation, but a very active community also weighs in and gives their two cents about each game.  Maybe there’s a key injury that Zcode doesn’t know about?  Don’t worry, the forum members will let you know about it before you plunk down your bet. Other members have saved me money when they get word early that a superstar player is sitting out a game.

–      Zcode is constantly being updated. It’s not an e-book.  It’s a living, breathing, sports investing system (see Live Betting). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed seeing “Copyright 2012” at the bottom of a guide that I just bought.  A lot can change in 8 years (How about the Cubs breaking the curse for one?).  How do I know that these systems still work?  I really appreciate that the Zcode guys keep it fresh.

–      The expert journals.  You also get free expert picks from the many, MANY expert sports bettors that are also Zcode members.  Just like the ones you usually pay $1000/mo for, these guys will post their own custom picks that you can copy for not additional cost whatsoever.

–      The ZLab. ZLab is a collection of trends that various experts have created using the ZCode proprietary software.  Not only can you use ZLab yourself to discover your own trends, but ZCode automatically keeps track of the hottest ones in its Hot Trends section.  You’ll never be left without a winning play.

–      The support staff .  This isn’t some deal that some guy threw on Clickbank 3 years ago and left up there to suck up money, there are actual humans behind Zcode (27 of them to be exact).  They always get back to my support tickets within 24 hours.

Overall, what do I think?

Zcode System is, in my eyes, the best sports investing software/system I’ve come across.  Ron, Mike, Steve, and their team of programmers spent over 2 years beta-testing Zcode before even launching it live, and it really shows.  I’ve personally been using it for close to 5 years now and yes, I’ve made hundreds of thsouands of dollars.  Again, it is because of ZCode that I am now a full time sports investor. (as I’m writing this, another Live bet just hit).  The done-for-you trend lines alone are worth the monthly membership, if you do nothing but bet thsese you will profit from your first month on.

The 75% discount makes this really a no-brainer.  If you’re serious about making money through investing in sports outcomes, you owe it to yourself to give Zcode a try.  You can get started with as little as $100.  Stick with it, follow the system, and you WILL make money. Maybe you will be able to quit your job like I did, who knows? I guess you will never know unless you tes it out for yourself.

Over the years harness racing has gone thrown incredible growths in popularity. When these growth spurts occur the need for drivers increases as the popularity of the sport around the globe grows.

So What does it take to become a Harness Racing driver?

That is a question we get quite often and seems to be in the minds of many people. Is learning to be a harness driver a God given talent or learned skill?

I believe the most important characteristic necessary is desire. Do you really want to become a professional driver? I cannot tell you how many fifteen or sixteen year old kids attend the race track for the first time and then leave feeling they want to be the next Dave Palone.

For those that may not know, Dave Palone is the winningest driver in harness racing history. However if you really think you would want to become a successful driver you can do it, with the right commitment, focus, hard work and dedication.

The best place to start is mucking stalls. Are you will to go to work for a stable or trainer for minimum wage cleaning stalls? If you are then you
may have the desire necessary to become a successful driver. This is
were many driver start their career.

Most of the drivers start by working in the horse barns. This is considered an important step as it aids in establishing if you are comfortable with horses or not. Needless to say, if you want to be a driver, you need to get comfortable around horses and they need to be comfortable around you.

As a barn hand you will become comfortable handling the horses. This is how you learn to calm the horse and how you steer the horse in the right directions.

Starting by working in the barns will give you valuable, on the job experience that will server you well the rest of your career. I believe it is also very valuable for young, want to be drivers to learn the history of racing, and the different types of horses and the lingo around the harness racing world.

The Fist 3 Steps to take to become a Harness Racing Driver

1. Go to Your Local Track if you have one, and inquire about getting a job. People in the business can refer you to others in the business. If you don’t have a track close to where you live, getting a job on any local horse farm is the next best option.

The Story of Young Harness Driver Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith made harness racing history at Hoosier Park becoming the youngest driver ever to reach the 1,000-win mark at the tender your age of 20.

He earned his first drivers title at Hoosier Park in 2013. Smith scored 262 wins and earned over $2.8 million in purses to secure the title.

At the young age of 20 he went on to score 507 wins and $3,667,360 in money won for the year.

Tyler Smith has now drawn the attention of the harness world by driving week days at Northfield Park in Ohio and weekends he flies out to Cal Expo in California.
