Jag Out Heads Season's First $25,000 Mares Open At Dover Downs Wednesday

JAG OUT HEADS SEASON’S FIRST $25,000 MARES OPEN AT DOVER DOWNS WEDNESDAY
 
DOVER, Del. --- Jag Out, who was a regular in the Yonkers’ top female pace, drew the outside in her first visit to Dover Downs in the $25,000 Open pace on Wednesday, Nov. 1. First post is 4:30 p.m.
 
Owned by Ben Hochsrung, Nick Surick and JL Benson stables, the five-year-old American Ideal mare has won $130-thousand in purses this season and will be driven by Tim Tetrick. Purrfect Bags, handled by Vic Kirby, the top Delaware bred pacing mare with more than $600-thousand won for owner-trainer JoAnn King, is fresh from victory in Harrington Raceway’s final female feature.
 
Montrell Teague drives Miss Me Yet, a fast four-year-old owned by George Teague and Teague Racing Partnership, has been razor sharp with two consecutive just-missed seconds in her recent outings. Trainer-owner Gary Ewing’s hard hitting Sweet Bobbie has been a consistent top performer in female features.
 
Terror At Night, owned by Ed Maas, Arlene Paisley and Nanticoke Racing, drew the rail with Allan Davis at the controls. Hostess Lisa, owned by Brian Malone who won the top trainer award at Harrington and the steady Matinee Dragon, with Tyler Davis driving for Lou Catana and trainer Vince Bradley, complete the solid lineup.
 
The Thursday headliner is the $30,000 Preferred Pace. Dover Downs races Mondays through Thursdays. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
