How old is too old for a horse to race in Harness Racing?
The cutoff is after their 13 year old year. Is that the right age? Should it be older? Younger?
I think horses can race as 14 year olds-----but that's it----I say let them go as long as they can. If they're healthy and can handle it.....why not.
Sometimes it's sad to see a horse that was good to great a decade ago coming out just to make a few bucks in a lowly race. 13 does seem like a good number.
